This is Xavi’s second QSL player of the month award this season, after picking up the award back in December. Xavi’s passing has been a hallmark of Al Sadd all season and with an average of 84.7 passes per game is well over the average for a player in the league. Whilst former Barcelona man saw 92.4% of his passes find their recipient, far more than the 87.5% QSL average. The 37-year-old has also created plenty of chances for his team-mates, averaging 4.7 chances per game.
Al Sadd fans will be hoping that Xavi can add to his Qatar Cup haul this season in the Emir Cup when Al Sadd take on Al Kharaitiyat in round four of the competition on Friday evening.
