The Qatar Stars League, the highest professional league in the state of Qatar welcomed a delegation from Brazilian side Chapecoense to Al Bidda tower on Sunday morning. The club tragically lost members of their playing and coaching staff in an airplane disaster that took the lives of 77 people aboard in late November. Including head coach Caio Junior and striker Bruno Rangel who had enjoyed time playing and coaching in Qatar.
Mr Hani Ballan, CEO of the Qatar Stars League met with Plínio David de Nês Filho the president of Chapecoense to discuss a range of issues of mutual interest, including ways of future calibration between the two parties.
The Brazilian side’s delegation had been invited to Qatar at the request of the head of HE Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Thani, President of Qatar Football Association and Qatar Stars League.
