Both attackers have enjoyed good seasons with their respective sides. Weiss just edges out Hamroun in terms of overall contribution in terms of goals grabbing 10 compared the 5 goals by the Algerian Hamroun. Whilst the former Steaua București player has the better of Weiss in the assists category, having a helping hand in 7 of his sides goals compared to just 3 assists from the Slovakian.
Al Ghrafa have been deadly on the break so far this season, and it’s no wonder that Weiss registers highly with shooting accuracy with 66% of his shots finding the target. The Slovakian also has significantly more penalty area entries in comparison to Hamroun, averaging 6.4 visits in a game.
Whilst Al Sadd have been more patient in attack this season, preferring to build up the play at a slower pace before attacking. This is reflected in the 83.8% of Hamroun’s passes finding their man, significantly higher than the 79.5% passing rate of Weiss.
Hamroun also has the better on Weiss in terms of distance covered in a game, clocking up 9.4km of running on average. However Weiss makes up for this with higher stats in interceptions (4.3) and tackles (4.7) over his rival attacker.
It seems finely poised when the two wingers take on each other in the QSL match of the week when Al Sadd take on Al Gharafa on Friday evening at Al Sadd stadium.
