The Qatar Stars League have hosted a club licensing workshop for all QSL and Qatargas league clubs on Wednesday 21 September 2016.QSL CEO Hani Ballan welcomed the attendees and highlighted to them some of the challenges faced in the previous season. Mr Ballan assured all clubs of the continuous support of QSL management during the 2017 cycle.

During the workshop there were presentations by the QSL Club Licensing Department, Deloitte QFA Legal Department, Hart Insurance Services and QFA Football Development Department.

Of particular note were enhanced criteria relating to financial reporting, overdue to employees/clubs and coach education requirements. Information was provided to all clubs regarding the new categorisation of licences and an amended core process and timeline for the assessment and award of licences.

​The workshop concluded with information concerning the online CLAS system which will reopen to clubs on 31 January 2017.
