Friday’s QSL action involves three games with all six sides looking to improve their fortunes heading into the final run of games for the season.
First up two in-from QSL sides will face each other when Al Khor take on Al Ahli in the 16:30 KO at Al Khor stadium. Both sides come into the game off the back to relegation easing wins in round 17, and will be targeting to maintain their form and pull further away from the relegation zone.
At the same time at Qatar SC stadium, two out of form teams in Umm Salal and El Jaish will take on each other. Both sides are without a win in their last two QSL games and know that a win could reignite their season. Umm Salal should be boosted with the return of strikers Yannick Sagbo and Mahmoud Al-Mawas to the side. Whilst for El Jaish, they are still struggling for players after suffering a raft of injuries and suspensions in recent weeks.
The final game of the day is the QSL match of the week between Al Sadd & Al Gharafa. Both sides head into the game off the back of important wins against relegation threatened teams last time out, and will be targeting a statement win against the one of the form teams in the QSL. Importantly for Al Sadd, they should welcome back top scorer Bagdad Bounjah to the side after a stint away with Algeria at the AFCON.
