The third-round action of 2024-2025 season QSL Cup will conclude with the Group B clash between Al Shamal and Al Khor at the Thani Bin Jassim Stadium of Al Gharafa club on Saturday, October 5, 2024. The kick-off is at 7.45pm.

The two teams enter the match with the same ambitions as each seeks to achieve victory and collect valuable three points.

Al Khor are yet to score a win, having lost to Al Wakrah 1-5 and then holders Umm Salal 1-2.

Al Shamal are looking for their second win after their 2-1 victory over Umm Salal in the first round. They are second in the standings with three points, while Al Khor are fifth with no points.

Al Shamal are coached by Portuguese Nuno Almeida who is counting on their prominent stars such as Baghdad Bounedjah to deliver the goods for a victory after their recent 2-4 loss to Al Ahli in the league championship.

The same applies to Al Khor, who thanked their national coach Abdullah Mubarak and announced the termination of his contract by mutual consent. The team lost in the last two rounds and will strive with all their might to improve their position in the group.

Al Shamal and Al Khor had faced off in Week 5 of Ooredoo Stars League on September 21 and the former won by a 2-1 margin.
