Al Rayyan coach Leonardo Jardim spoke to the media ahead of his team’s 2023-2024 season Expo Stars League Week 11 match (Qatar Clasico) against Al Sadd.

“It is a very important match, the Qatar Clasico. Al Sadd are a strong team and have many players in the national teams, and Al Rayyan play every match in order to achieve victory, and there is nothing different.

“It is also important for the players to give 100 per cent of their performance on the field, but in the same context, it is important for the fans to attend the stadium to support the players in this important match, in order to achieve victory,” said Jardim.

Al Rayyan player Roger Guedes said, “The Qatar Clasico against Al Sadd is very important.

“We know that Al Rayyan are a big team and big teams always play to win. This is an important match and it will be strong, so the team prepared as required in order to achieve the three points.

“I call on the fans to attend strongly, like the Al Arabi match, which was the best in terms of crowd attendance, and their presence will be a great morale boost for us to win the three points.”
