Al Shamal coach Hicham Jadrane spoke to the media ahead of their 2021-2022 season QNB Stars League Week 2 match against Al Sailiya.

“Al Shamal are now in the First Division and therefore all matches will not be easy for teams that also seek to win to achieve their various goals.

“Al Sailiya are a strong team with great experience, both at the level of players and technical staff, and we will give everything we have in order to achieve a positive result.

“We are waiting for some players to return and I see that the team will improve from day to day and from match to match.

“Our first match against Al Gharafa witnessed two different phases, the first in favour of the opponents, while we dominated the second half.

“We are still at the beginning of the journey, and the players need more adaptation and harmony, in addition to the fact that the weather does not help at the present time to provide the expected performance by all teams,” said Hicham.

Al Shamal player Abdulaziz Metwaly said, “Certainly, facing Al Sailiya will not be easy and our competitor aspires to win and we also aim to win the three points, so the match will be difficult for both teams.

“We are preparing strongly for the next confrontation and we hope to deliver what is required. We will build on what we presented in the second half of our game Al Gharafa and we hope success will be with us and we achieve victory and reap our first three points.”
