Qatar SC coach Ze Ricardo spoke to the media ahead of their 2021-2022 season QNB Stars League Week 1 match against Al Ahli.

“I’m pleased to participate in the QNB Stars League for the first time. I’m sure this will be a good experience. We seek to present the best possible image of our club. Now it is time to work hard as this is an opportunity to show the extent of our keenness to achieve the best possible results.

"Our goal is to provide a strong start in the league. I know that the responsibility on us is great and requires a collective effort. I realize that I work in a great team that has its name secure in league history. I am here to achieve the goals of the club while we tackle the new challenge in order to reach the best results.

"I know that the path is not easy, but through cooperation between us, management, coaches, players and the fans, we will achieve what we aspire to," said Ricardo.

Qatar SC goalkeeper Jassem Al Hail said, "I can safely say that we are ready for the start of the new season. We want to present a distinguished level, especially that we are now with a new coach and many quality players in our squad. Our preparations were excellent in the pre-season training camp. We played strong matches against Oman, Qadsiah and a Serbian club. It is very important to implement the new way of playing and we are now facing an important match in the first round. We are looking forward to giving everything we have."

“We hope to provide the best results for the management, the technical staff and the fans, who are our permanent support. We always try to satisfy them and achieve the titles they wish for. There is no doubt that the start in the league is important and it gives us great confidence to follow the path successfully and take important strides in the new season."
