Al Shamal coach Hisham Zahid spoke to the media ahead of their 2022-2023 season QNB Stars League Week 3 match against Al Gharafa.

“We are waiting for a strong and difficult game against a large team that includes players at the highest level and an efficient technical staff, but we will fight as was the situation in the past two matches. So we look forward to achieving a positive result in the match although we realize that it will not be easy.

“The loss to Al Sailiya in the last round had a psychological impact on everyone, but now we are fully ready for the next game.

“Focus is very much needed in the next match in order for the team to reach the desired goal,” said Hisham Zahid.

Al Shamal player Amjad Atwan said, “We suffered a sudden loss against Al Sailiya in the last round, so we have to correct the path in the next round through the Al Gharafa match to return again to the path of victories.

“Of course, the task will not be easy against a strong team like Al Gharafa, but we are looking forward to achieving a result that satisfies the aspirations of our fans.

“I want our fans to come to the stadium and support us because they are the true supporters of the team and their presence in the stands gives us a great incentive to do the best.”
