Umm Salal coach Wesam Rizik spoke to the media ahead of their 2022-2023 season QNB Stars League Week 4 match against Al Sailiya.

“The match is of great importance to us and we hope victory will come our way as we prepared with full concentration. I felt that during the training because every player wants to have a reaction in the match in order to compensate and achieve the first victory even though Al Sailiya are one of the strong teams.

“The last-round match against Al Wakrah is to be forgotten as we prepared for Al Sailiya with a different mentality. The preparations are fine, especially the psychological aspect of the players, which is important, and we are striving to achieve our first victory. The team will now be different,” said Wesam.

Umm Salal player Sardor Rashidov said, “The Al Sailiya match in the fourth round has great meaning for us, therefore we will do our best to win and score the three points.

“We lost the last match against Al Wakrah and that means we will enter the next match and play with full force and focus in order to win.

“We, the players, will put in our full efforts against Al Sailiya and the result will be good for Umm Salal, God willing.”
