Umm Salal coach Sergio Farias spoke to the media ahead of their 2021-2022 season QNB Stars League Week 6 match against Al Sadd.

“Facing Al Sadd will not be easy and I know it is a difficult match, but my confidence in my team is great, especially after the draw in the last match against Qatar SC, where the players made a strong return during the second half, which makes us strive to continue the efforts in order to progress and achieve positive results.

“We want to continue the good work in order to provide good and enjoyable football to advance in the league table, especially since the competitions are strong and every team strives to achieve victories.

“The Al Sadd team is big and are coming off the Amir Cup success and we need to do everything we can to play a strong match against them. This is what we seek, especially since we have gained great confidence, and we can present a strong performance against a large team that enjoys vitality and high quality. We are still in the process of developing. The performance has improved and we hope to succeed in the next matches in order to move forward,” said Farias.

Umm Salal player Yassin Al Bakhit said, “The Al Sadd match is difficult and important at the same time. A match that has its own circumstances.”
