Umm Salal coach Wesam Rizik spoke to the media ahead of their 2021-2022 season QNB Stars League Week 11 match against Al Arabi.

“We must give off our best against Al Arabi and we have trained well. We have tried to prepare the players at the technical, physical and psychological levels, especially after the victory over Al Duhail in the last round, which gave the players a good morale boost.

“We will take advantage of it against Al Arabi and correct our mistakes because it is a very difficult meeting against a team that occupy the third place, so the match will be interesting for them as much as it is for us, especially since Al Arabi are one of the distinguished teams. They have players and a coach at a high level, hence the match will be strong because both of us strive to win and we hope to continue winning to strengthen the team's position in the table.

“Al Arabi are a distinguished team with outstanding players. Facing them is always difficult. But in football, anything can happen.

“Our preparations are like any match and the whole team is in full focus after we turned the chapter of Al Duhail match. Now, we focus on meeting Al Arabi, which I consider as one of the our strongest meetings this season. I have great confidence in the players and everyone is ready for the match,” said Wesam.

Umm Salal player Abdulrahman Al Rashidi said, “The team is ready and strong, and we strive to provide the best to get the three points of the match, especially as we seek to enter the top four. The team performs strongly and perfectly, and from here all players are ready to face Al Arabi, which I consider difficult for both teams.”
