Al Ahli coach Nebojsa Jovovic spoke to the media ahead of their 2022-2023 season QNB Stars League Week 3 match against Al Sadd.

“We came out with a positive result against Al Duhail in the last round and deserved more than a draw, and the team deserved congratulations for the reaction and outstanding performance. But the important thing for me as a coach is that the team is developing from one game to another. We have not yet presented our required level, but we will do so over time. We have 20 rounds remaining in the competition.

“The match against Al Sadd is one of the difficult ones. They are a strong team with their technical strength and a distinguished group of local and professional players.

“We need to focus against Al Sadd and provide the best technical level in order to achieve the desired result. I urge the club's fans to come to the stadium and support Al Ahli from the stands.

“We will give off our everything against Al Sadd in order to get the result we are looking forward to. The players are also focusing on this match because of its great value and the fact that they are the league title holder and one of the strongest teams on the Asian continent,” Nebojsa.
