Al Sadd coach Javi Gracia spoke to the media ahead of their 2021-2022 season QNB Stars League Week 15 match against Al Shamal.
“We are looking forward to playing the next match with full force because we haven't played for a long time.
“I think these times are difficult for everyone, for the players and for the club as well as for many people outside. Like everyone else, we try to be fit and recover as quickly as possible, all the players were out of training but now we are focused on the next game.
“We know we have a lot of games now, but I think the players are high in spirit and have good motivation. I am sure we will do a really good job.
“I do not look at the table. I am not worried about the position or the difference in points between one team or another. I think it is better to focus only on our work and in this way I am sure that we will finish the season well,” said Gracia.
Al Sadd player Mustafa Tareq Meshaal said, “Facing Al Shamal will be difficult given the conditions the team went through as we have not played in the last two weeks. But we have taken care of the situation and are well prepared for the continuation of victories.
“The break was certainly difficult for us and had an impact on the team, but we managed to overcome it and train individually until we regained the services of all players. God willing, we will meet the expectations of everyone in the next match in order to achieve victory and bag the three points.”
