Al Shamal coach Hisham Zahid spoke to the media ahead of their 2022-2023 season QNB Stars League Week 7 match against Al Ahli.

“A difficult match against a very good team that presented good levels and received distinguished results this season. Al Ahli are noted for stability under the technical leadership of coach Nebojsa (Jovovic).

“Our task will not be easy, but we are determined to achieve a positive result with which we can continue our good run, which saw us beat a big team like Al Sadd in the last round of the league.

“I hope we succeed against Al Ahli and achieve the desired result, making our fans happy. They have always been supporting the team,” said Hisham Zahid.

Al Shamal player Abdulrahman Al Madahka said, “We are fully aware that the Al Ahli match will not be easy in view of the strengths of the opponents, who are going through a very good period this season. The evidence is their fifth-place ranking.

“We have great determination to win and collect the three points before the league break, and we realize that the task will not be easy, but we are determined to do our best to achieve what we want.”
