Qatar SC coach Youssef Safri spoke to the media ahead of their 2022-2023 season QNB Stars League Week 7 match against Al Rayyan.

“First, I must point out that I am not satisfied with the result of our match against Al Duhail in the previous round, nor with the level of performance in the first half. Sometimes we do not succeed in translating this activity into goals.

“I have great confidence in the players and their ability to achieve what we aspire to. We have to correct mistakes and capitalize on our strengths.

“I hope we will be successful against Al Rayyan, especially as we have worked hard and enthusiastically to correct the mistakes and be at the required level in the upcoming matches.

“After six rounds in the league, we must thank the players for their efforts and the fans who are always keen to support us. In many cases, we were the closest to winning and created more opportunities and deserved the points,” said Safri.

Qatar SC player Eisa Ahmed said, “We are all dissatisfied with the result of the previous match and we were missing the final touch, especially as we need to translate our efforts into positive results. In the next match, we seek to present what we have because Al Rayyan are a big and respectable team, so we should be at the required level. We very much look forward to our fans’ support in this important match.

“With regard to our preparations for the game, we have worked on the small details that play an important role in a match of this type. We need to show more focus and commitment in implementing the instructions of technical staff.”
