Al Arabi defeated Al Waab 3-1 to secure their semifinal berth in the 2025-2026 season QSL Cup at Al Khor Stadium on Wednesday.

Two late goals from Pablo Sarabia (89th-minute penalty and 90+12 minute), in addition to an own goal by Ahmed Issa, helped The Dream Team to victory after Ousseynou Cesar had given Al Waab the lead in the 13th minute.

Cesar stunned Al Arabi with his well-taken opener, hitting the back of the net with a right-footed shot after a perfectly squared pass from Mohamed Methnani, but Al Arabi responded well with a wave of attacks thereafter which eventually paid off 15 minutes later as they were gifted an own goal when Ahmed Issa mistakenly tapped the ball into his own net while attempting to clear a free-kick taken by Gerard Hernandez.

Spanish attacking midfielder Sarabia then scored from the spot after a handball infringement before putting the icing on the cake in the dying minutes of added time to propel Al Arabi to their second successive semifinal placement.
