Al Shamal face Al Wakrah in Week 21 of the 2021-2022 season QNB Stars League. The kick-off is at 19:00 at the Al Sadd Stadium on Tuesday, 1st March, 2022.

Al Shamal, who beat Al Khor 1-0 in Week 19, continued from where they left off and defeated Al Ahli 3-0 in Week 20 to register their fifth victory.

Al Shamal thus climbed from 10th to ninth position with 19 points (five wins, four draws and 11 defeats) from 20 matches. They have a goal difference of -17 (27 goals for and 44 against).

Al Shamal, coached by Hisham Zahid, have virtually avoided relegation.

Similarly, Al Wakrah are also on a high as they are placed third with 37 points from 20 matches. They beat Al Gharafa 3-2 in Week 19 and went on to defeat Umm Salal 4-0 in Week 20.

The Blue Wave, coached by Spaniard Marquez Lopez, have recorded 11 wins, four draws and five defeats, and have a goal difference of +8 (33 goals for and 25 against).

Al Shamal have the likes of Ali Alwan, Fahad Waad, Mohammed Al Sayed (Jeddo) and Majed Muhammad, while Al Wakrah boast of Jacinto Dala, Mohamed Benyettou and Omar Ali.
