Al Sailiya face Al Shamal in Week 13 of the 2021-2022 season QNB Stars League. The kick-off is at 16:15 at the Qatar SC Stadium on Friday, 7th January, 2022.

Both teams are in the bottom rung of the table and badly need points at this stage.

Al Sailiya, coached by Tunisian Sami Trabelsi, are in deep trouble following their 0-2 loss to defending champions Al Sadd in Week 12.

The Peregrines stayed at the bottom of the table with five points with only one victory, two draws and nine defeats against their name.

The reigning Ooredoo Cup champions have to pull up their socks if they are to move away from the danger zone. Al Sailiya have a goal difference of -17 (six goals for and 23 against).

Al Shamal, coached by Moroccan Hicham Jadrane, are 10th in the table with nine points (two wins, three draws and seven defeats).

They have a goal difference of -8 (16 goals for and 24 against).

Al Shamal had done well in Week 10 when the league resumed after a long break by holding Al Wakrah to a 1-1 draw. However, they lost 1-2 to Al Rayyan in Week 11 and 2-3 to Al Gharafa in Week 12.
