Qatar SC face Umm Salal in Round 2, Group A of the 2022-2023 season Ooredoo Cup on Sunday, 25th September. The kick-off is at 20:00 at the Al Ahli Stadium.

Al Sadd, Al Wakrah, Al Ahli, and Al Sailiya are the other teams in Group A.

Group B consists of Al Duhail, Al Markhiya, Al Arabi, Al Shamal, Al Gharafa and Al Rayyan.

Matches between Qatar SC and Umm Salal have always been of great interest and contested fiercely. With both teams having a win and the valuable three points already from the first round, their battle should offer more excitement.

While Qatar SC beat Al Wakrah 3-1, Umm Salal prevailed 2-1 over Al Ahli.

The strength and difficulty of the contest lies in the fact that each of them seeks to win the match points in order to continue their winning run and strive to qualify for the knockout round and also to take advantage of the tournament which is strong and exciting from the very start.

Qatar SC coach Youssef Safri is expected to rely on the same players who played in the first round - a mix of youth and some foreign professionals.
