Al Sadd coach Roberto Mancini spoke to the media ahead of their 2025-2026 Doha Bank Stars League Week 17 match against Al Duhail.

“It will be a very important match, but like all matches, if we want to win this championship, we need to beat Al Duhail and we also need to beat Al Arabi.

“I think the match between Al Sadd and Al Duhail is an important match in Qatar every year, and that is why I think it will be a very good match. Our goal is to keep winning in order to get closer to winning the title,” said Mancini.

Al Sadd captain Hassan Al Haydous said, “We are now in the final stretch of the league championship and we are aiming for three points in every match.

“We did not perform at our best or what we hoped for against Al Wakrah, especially in the first half, but we are fully aware of the responsibility to deliver our best performance against Al Duhail.

“The support of Al Sadd fans is our primary and greatest motivation. There are six league matches remaining, in addition to the AFC Champions League, and we will certainly need our fans’ support greatly.”
