Al Gharafa face Al Arabi in Round 8 (Group B) of the 2021-2022 season Ooredoo Cup. The kick-off is at 16:00 at the Al Wakrah Stadium on Thursday.

Both teams enter the match with a desire to win and collect full points.

Al Arabi are at the top of Group B with nine points from two wins, three draws and one loss. They have played six rounds so far.

Al Gharafa are in the last place in the group with five points from a win, two draws and as many losses. They have played five rounds so far.

It will also be a test of strength between Al Gharafa coach Andrea Stramaccioni and his Al Arabi counterpart Younes Ali.

Both sides have a number of experienced and youth players.

Al Arabi have Aron Gunnarsson, Abdulrahman Mohammed, Abdulqadir Ilyas, Rami Suhail, Hamed Ismail and Abdulaziz Al Ansari, while Al Gharafa boast of Cheick Diabate, Othman Al Yahri, Mohammed Ismail, Abu Shanab, Saeed Al Hajj, Abdullah Saei, Jassem Fahd Al Zaraa and goalkeeper Ahmed Sufyan.
