Al Shamal coach Hicham Jadrane spoke to the media ahead of their 2021-2022 season QNB Stars League Week 11 match against Al Rayyan.

“Indeed, the Al Rayyan match is different from other matches. We will face a star-studded team at the highest level, a traditionally-strong team with rich history.

“Al Rayyan are a big team looking to redeem themselves this season. We had played against them sometime ago in the Ooredoo Cup, but the league match will certainly be different against a team that will play with all its stars and with great motivation to achieve victory and register good results,” said Hicham.

Al Shamal player Islam Yassin said, “The Al Rayyan match is difficult. They are a great team that includes high-level players, be it foreign professionals or local players, and therefore we have to be on a high degree of focus.

“We play every match as a cup in which there is no alternative to winning, especially as we strive to stay in the league and even reach a higher position than staying. So we hope to collect the three points and come out of the Al Rayyan match in the best way.”
