Al Shamal coach David Prats spoke to the media ahead of their 2026-2027 season Doha Bank Stars League Week 4 match against Al Wakrah.

“We are facing a very good team; from my perspective, they are technically one of the best sides in the league. I admire Al Wakrah’s style of play and the high technical calibre of their players. 

“While it is true that the team is not currently at its best in terms of points gathered over the first three rounds, we respect them greatly and recognize them as a strong opponent.

“We are excited for this tough match and aim to secure the three points, that is always our goal in every game we play,” said Prats.

Al Shamal player Pablo Mari said, “I believe the match against Al Wakrah will be difficult, given the strength of the opponent and the quality of their players, even if the team is not currently in top form.

“We must approach the game with intensity to achieve our desired goal: winning and securing the three points.”
