Al Wakrah coach Ali Rahma Al Marri spoke to the media ahead of their 2024-2025 season Ooredoo Stars League Week 5 match against Al Rayyan.
“Despite the difficulty of preparing for this match, everyone is determined to achieve victory.
“Time was short for us in the preparation period for this game, considering that we played the AFC Champions League Two match two days ago and got one day off and returned to training this evening, but I confirm that the lack of time is not an excuse for us because we are looking for the three points.
“I know the Al Rayyan team well and I know the way we will play this match in the hope of overcoming this obstacle and gaining the three points, and I hope that success will be on our side. Everyone knows the strength of the Al Rayyan team, especially in the offensive aspect, and I believe that it was not bad with Al Hilal of Saudi Arabia despite this bad result.
“I have great confidence in all members of the Al Wakrah team and I confirm that if our players present their true level, victory will be on our side God-willing, in any match we play, despite my great respect for all competitors,” said Al Marri.
Al Wakrah player Abdelkarim Hassan said, “Our team has all the factors that help us return to the path of victories and overcome the difficult situation we are currently experiencing, whether in the league or in the Asian Championship.
“We have many players capable of improving the results and changing the difficult circumstances that the team has gone through.
“We are fully prepared to play the Al Rayyan match and I hope the points of this match will be the real start for the team in the current season, which will then be an incentive to continue the series of victories, especially since coach Ali Rahma Al Marri is no stranger to the team and knows all the players’ qualities and real capabilities.”
