Al Shamal coach David Prats and player Mohamed Ali Ben Ramadan spoke to the media ahead of their Qatar Cup 2026 semifinal against Al Rayyan.

“This is a very important match for us and we hope to be ready and perform at our usual level. We want to continue developing as a club and achieve victory. We have a strong motivation to compete fiercely and reach the final.

“The team has undergone several player changes recently. Work is ongoing to maintain the same mentality and ambition the team displayed last season,” said Prats.

Ben Ramadan said, “The team is aware of the difficulty of facing Al Rayyan, all players are fully focused on the match in order to achieve victory and qualify for the final.

“We will be playing against a great team with a large fan base and outstanding capabilities, and we hope to be fully prepared and succeed in achieving victory. We promise our fans that we will give our best during the match.”
