Al Rayyan coach Vicente Moreno and player Jassem Gaber spoke to the media ahead of their Qatar Cup 2026 semifinal against Al Shamal.

“We will face Al Shamal on Tuesday in the Qatar Cup 2026 semifinal with a clear objective: to win and reach the final. I have strong confidence in my players’ abilities.

“This match is very important for us because it represents an opportunity to reach our first final this season and therefore we must give our all to win.

Al Shamal are a very good team and we know we are facing a strong opponent, but I have great confidence in the players. We will enter the match with great optimism and a desire to deliver an outstanding performance,” said Moreno.

Jassem Gaber said, “The match against Al Shamal will not be easy, the team is taking the current season one step at a time and is fully focused on qualifying for the final.

“The match is not easy at all. This tournament is different from the league and we will try to perform at the required level to reach the final.”
