
Umm Salal
Umm Salal coach Mahmoud Jaber gave a debut to Syrian international signing Mahmoud Al-Mawas in his sides 2-1 victory over Al Khor. The former Al-Muharraq striker made an immediate impact for the Orange Fortress, assisting his sides opening goal on the twelfth minute. Al-Mawas was signed as a replacement for Jordanian striker Tha'er Bawab and has been given the number nine shirt for his new side.
Al Kharaitiyat
Al Kharaitiyat has picked up Uzbekistan international winger Sanzhar Tursunov as a replacement for Australian midfielder Erik Paartalu who has left the club by mutual consent. Tursunov took part in his sides 1-0 defeat to Al Sadd, however this is not the first time Tursunov has graced the QSL, after having a six month stint with Umm Salal last season.
Muaither
Relegation threatened Muaither have moved quickly to change two of their professional players to boost their survival chances. Jordanian striker Mahmoud Za'tara and Brazilian midfielder William Schuster have been replaced by Japanese midfielder Minori Sato and Iraq international Ahmed Yasin. Both players took part in Muaither’s 3-1 defeat to top of the table Lekhwiya.
Al Wakrah
Fellow strugglers Al Wakrah have also picked up two professional players to aid their survival bid. The South American duo of Pablo Zeballos and Pablo Olivera has been replaced by Youssoupha Mbengue of Senegal and Prince Ibara from the Congo. Both players where recruited from Tunisian club CA Bizertin, and took part in Wakrah’s impressive 0-0 draw with title chasing El Jaish.
