DOHA: Qatar Stars League (QSL) outfit Muaither are expecting a resolute show from new imports Ahmed Yaseen and Minori Sato.

Iraqi right-winger Yassen and Japanese midfielder Sato have joined Muaither for the remaining part of the QSL season, club official Mubarak Ghanim said on Monday.

"Our contract with Yaseen is for six months. We will see how things go and then we will decide on the future contract," Ghanim told QSL website in an interview.

"The two players have signed the contract having cleared their medicals. Both are out of Doha but they will be in a couple of days to start training with their new teammates," he said.

Yaseen has replaced Brazilian midfielder William Schuster while Sato has come in place of Jordanian striker Mahmoud Za'tara.

Muaither will play their next QSL game on January 3, 2017, their first in the New Year.

"We are confident that we have made the right call. We have got 9 points in the first four months. We feel we the new players will contribute strongly in the remaining few months of the season," he said.

"I wish the team good luck," he said.

"We made the changes looking at our needs and hence the choice of the new players," Ghanim said.
