Round 15 of the QSL season continues on Monday evening with a much anticipated matchup between Lekhwiya and Al Gharafa. Table topping Lekhwiya will be looking to consolidate their lead at the top of the QSL standings, whilst for Al Gharafa they will be looking to add another big win in what has been an impressive season for the Cheetahs.
Both sides come into the game off the back of wins in round 14. Lekhwiya maintained their lead of the QSL table with a 3-1 win over Muaither. Whilst Al Gharafa registered a 2-0 win over Al Ahli to maintain their grip on fourth spot.
Lekhwiya will be without two key players heading into the crunch tie with Moroccan attacker Yusef El Arabi and Tunisian midfielder Yusef Msakni out of contention after leaving their club to participate in the 2017 AFCON. Djamel Belmadi will be boosted by the return of Chico Flores, who served a one game domestic ban last time out.
Whilst Al Gharafa will welcome back both Kristian Nemeth and Vladimir Weiss into the squad, after serving a domestic ban against Al Ahli.
It certainly promises to be a game with big ramifications for the QSL title race when Lekhwiya take on Al Gharafa on Monday evening at Lekhwiya stadium
