With the league resuming this weekend, the featured match of Round 9 is El Jaish against Al Arabi at the Al Arabi Sports Club stadium. Kick-off will be at 4pm and will see two teams who are vying for the top four.

El Jaish lies in second place with 20 points, they have won six games, drawn two and lost and Arabi are close behind in fourth with 16 points after winning five, drawing once and losing twice.

In the last six games EL Jaish have won five and lost just one game, they also have the league’s joint top scorer in Abderrazak Hamdallah (8 goals in 7 matches). The soldiers are an in form team and currently look like title contenders.

 Al Arabi too has done well under new Head Coach Gianfranco Zola despite the Reds having had to play three matches in which they were down to just ten men.

Just before the two week break El Jaish beat Mesaimeer 5-2 and Al Arabi also had success as they came away with all three points in a difficult clash with Al Kharaitiyat (2-1).

With Arabi’s strong fan base and strong team spirit El Jaish will have a tricky match on their hands.
