QSL side Al Ahli has strengthened their squad announcing the capture of Qatar international midfielder Ahmed Maqsoud from Lekhwiya. Maqsoud has signed a six month deal with the brigadiers, following the end of his loan deal with Al Arabi.

The tenacious midfielder is no stranger to the Al Ahli set-up having previously played for Qatar’s oldest club side during the 2011-2012 QSL season. Ahli have been already busy in the transfer window this season, after confirming the signing of Al Shamal forward Ali Ferydoon on a short term loan deal. Ferydoon is set to play a role in Al Ahli’s match tonight against second place Al Sadd.
