Third placed QSL side El Jaish is facing a selection crisis ahead of their round 16 match against Al Khor. The club has confirmed that Lucas Mendes will be unavailable for selection for the game, and is set to serve a one game domestic ban after picking up his fourth yellow of the season in the 4-3 win over Al Arabi.

Mendes is also joined by Ali Sanad and Mohammed Al Jabri who will be serving bans for the red cards they received during the game. Whilst on the injury front, Yusef Muftah could be a doubt for the match after coming off in the second half with an injury. Muftah now joins Jaish’s sizable injury list which includes long term absentees Majid Mohammed and Khalid Abdulraouf.

The pressure will now be on Jaish coach Sabri Lamouchi to put together a team ahead of their Friday evening game away to Al Khor. Jaish maintained their grip on third place with their 4-3 win over Al Arabi and have 33 points from 15 QSL games.
