Al Sadd's Khalfan ibrahim was nominated for 2014 best Arab player award. The Algerian newspaper Al Haddaf hands out the award every season.

The Egyptian player Mohamed Salah won last year’s edition is also nominated this year along with the Algerians Sofien Feghouli and Yassine Ibrahimi,the Qatari Khalfan Ibrahim, the morrocan Mahdi Ben Atia and many others.
