QSL league leaders Lekhiwya have been handed a major boost to their squad ahead of their match against Al Khor on Friday evening.

The club confirmed that three first team players are set to return to the squad. Both Yusef Msakni and leading scorer Yusef El Arabi will return to first team training after both Tunisia and Morocco were eliminated from the African Cup of nations over the weekend. Whilst young striker Almoez Ali will also be back in contention after serving his one game ban during the 1-0 win over Al Arabi after picking up his fourth yellow card of the season.

The return of the trio will be a major boost for Red Knights coach Djamel Belmadi, who has been without a host of key players in recent weeks through injury, suspension and international tournaments. Regardless of their absentees Lekhwiya still remain three points clear at the top of the QSL standings.
