
Lekhwiya boss Djamel Belmadi could be set for a selection dilemma for his side’s game against Al Arabi, after the club confirmed a number of key players for game will be absent. The club confirmed that Ali Afif and Almoez Ali will be absent for the match through suspension as Ali Afif picked up a red card, and Almoez Ali receiving his fourth yellow card of the season in the 3-3 draw with Al Wakrah.
The loss of the two players will be a major concern for head coach Djamel Belmadi who has a long list of absentees for the game including; Yusef Msakni, Yusef El Arabi, Mohammed Muntari, Mohammed Muntari and Khaled Radhwan.
In other news midfielder Luis Martin is set to return to the side after serving his one match ban for the red card he received against Al Sadd in round sixteen. The Qatar international midfielder looks set to have a starting role in the game, as Lekhwiya will be looking to maintain their three point lead at the top of the QSL standings.
