Al Sadd winger Hasan Haydoos firmly believes that his side has a realistic chance of lifting the QSL falcon shield come the end of the season. The Qatar international captain spoke with QSL online in an exclusive interview at the recent media day event.
“I have only been with Al Sadd for a short time, because of the training camps with the Qatar national team; but my preseason with Al Sadd was positive. Head coach Jesaldo Ferriera drilled the side well, and we will be prepared to fight for the title” admitted Haydoos.
Whilst the former QFA player of the year suggested that Al Sadd’s stability will be crucial ahead of a tough QSL season. “We have kept with the same head coach and the majority of our players, only Jugurtha Hamroun have joined us. This means the group will not really change and keep the same spirit that we had towards the end of last season.”
Haydoos concluded his interview expecting a strong showing from Al Sadd in the forthcoming season. “ I am fully fit thank God, Al Sadd will be pushing for the QSL title and we need the support of our fans to help us this season.”
Al Sadd will start their QSL season off with a home tie against Al Kharaitiyat.
