QSL side Al Sailiya has strengthened their backline with the loan signing of defender Rami Fayez from El Jaish till the end of the season. The club confirmed the news via social media, earlier today. The signing of Fayez will be a major boost for head coach Sami Trabelsi, who had been looking to add some local players to his squad.

​So far it’s been a busy transfer window for the Peregrines with the signing of Fayez meaning that Al Sailiya has signed five players in January alone. Uzbekistan attackers Temurkhuja Abdukholiqov and Sanjar Shaakhmedov, have been picked up whilst Romanian Valentin Lazăr has been signed on loan from Dinamo București. In terms of local players, Qatari attacker Jaralla Al-Marri has also been signed on loan from Al Rayyan.

Al Sailiya is currently in tenth place in the QSL standings with nineteen points from eighteen games so far this season.
