Al-Shahania have signed a contract with the Croatian head coach Luka Bonacic for the football team, the Croat replaces the former Spanish head coach Lutina Miguel for one year.

The contract was signed in the presence of the Deputy Chairman of the Club Mr. Seif Nayef, the General Secretary Mr. Faisal Mutar and the Head of Football Mr. Mohammed Saoud.

The Spanish Head Coach Lutina Miguel resigned at the beginning of this season due to the bad results, his assistant Mr. Jose Fernando took over the coaching duties as interim coach until a replacement was found.

Al-Shahania’s new head coach has trained many Croatian clubs such as RNK Split and FC Zagreb. He also worked with many clubs in Iran such as Foolad Sapahan as well as Al-Nasr Club in the UAE.

Mr. Luka Bonacic won the cup and league in Croatia more than once and repeated the feat in Iran. He even led Foolad Sapahan to the AFC Champions League 2007 final.
