The Wolves players have been granted a period of five days rest in order to recuperate after a challenging fixture schedule ahead of the 2014 Gulf Cup of Nations. The tournament is in its 22nd edition and will be played in the Saudi capital Riyadh from 13th to 26th November.Al Sadd will have 8 international players missing during this period as the Maroons will try to win their 3rd Gulf Cup.
The 8 players will depart from Sadd’s custody and will join the national and Olympic teams, they are:
Saad Al Dosari, Ibrahim Majid, Abdul Karim Hassan, Mahdi Ali, Asad Ali, Hassan Haidoos, Muhannad Naim, Musab al-Khadr.
The Maroons have only won the tournament whilst hosting it and will be desperate to win it for the first time on foreign soil.
