Reigning QSL champions Al Rayyan have been handed a boost ahead of their game against top four rivals El Jaish, after confirming that young Qatari defender Mohammed Alaaeldin will return to the squad for the game.

Alaaeldin was suspended for the game against Al Sailiya after picking up his fourth yellow card of the season against Umm Salal. In his absence, Al Rayyan eased past Sailiya 4-0 to maintain their grip on fourth place in the QSL standings.

In other news, Al Rayyan has started their preparations for their crunch match against El Jaish on Sunday afternoon.  Michael Laudrup’s side will be without a number of key players for the week who have been called up for Qatar’s friendly match against Moldova on Tuesday. These include Captain Rodrigo Tabata, Sebastian Soria and goalkeeper Omar Barry.
