Al Rayyan midfielder Ahmed Alaa believes that his side can retain the QSL falcon shield that they lifted last season. The young Qatari international spoke with QSL online at the recent club media day “We are aiming at following-up on the league. However, it will be very difficult this season and we have to be wary of the other opponents.”

Ahmed Alaa also admitted his excitement in taking part in AFC Champions League competition  “We have done well to get back into the Champions League, we are prepared well for a long and tough season, hoping to make Al Rayyan fans happy and satisfied and hoping to make the fans of Al Rayyan happy again.”

Alaa concluded the brief chat saying; “We will do our best to break the records we accomplished during the last season. The QSL title is the main objective as ever, along with a goof campaign in other competitions. Personally I hope I can push on and make a big impact with the team.”

Al Rayyan will open up their defence of their QSL title with a match against newly promoted Al Shahania.
