
DOHA: Qatar Stars League (QSL) outfit Al Wakrah have added Senegalese midfielder Youssouph Mbengue to their roster, details showed on Tuesday.
The 25-year-old, who arrived in Doha on Monday, last played for Tunisian club CA Bizertin.
Youssouph replaces Al Wakrah's Uruguayan import Pablo Olivera, a club official said.
The ace midfielder is scheduled to undergo a routine medical before being presented to the media.
Youssouph is the second major signing after influential Congolese midfielder Prince Oniangue joined Al Wakrah last week.
Twenty-year-old Oniangue has replaced Pablo Daniel Zeballos, Mohammed Al Sulaiti, the club's football deputy, said two days ago.
Youssouph is expected to beef up the midfield for Al Wakrah who are currently in 13th spot in the QSL points race.
Al Wakrah's Tunisian coach Kais Yaakoubi headed his team's training session on Monday night, the club said on Tuesday.
A closed-door training camp will start from December 27, a week ahead of Al Wakrah's January 4, 2017 clash.
