DOHA: Influential Congolese midfielder Prince Oniangue has arrived in the Qatari capital to sign up with Qatar Stars League (QSL) outfit Al Wakra, a top official said on Sunday.

The 28-year-old is expected to replace Pablo Daniel Zeballos, Mohammed Al Sulaiti, the club's football deputy, said.

Another import Senegalese Youssoupha Mbengue is, however, expected to land in Doha on Monday, the official added. Mbengue is expected to replace Pablo Fernando Olivera.

Oniangue and Mbengue could line up for Al Wakrah's next QSL clash next month.

"The players will undergo medical examinations before putting pen to paper, Al Sulaiti said in a chat with QSL's website.

"Once the medicals are complete, the players will address the media," he said.

"We would like to thank the outgoing players for their contributions,"
he said. "We wish them all success."

"We could sign some more players but that all depends on the needs of the team," he said.
