Al Sadd Sports Club has announced that their influential winger and Qatar national team player, Khalfan Ibrahim, has been ruled out for at least three weeks due to a hamstring injury he picked up during one of the recent team training sessions. The announcement comes ahead of Al Sadd’s upcoming Round 14 QSL match against Al Kharaitiyat which will kick off at Al Khor Stadium next Wednesday at 16:15.
The club said that Khalfan has already undergone medical tests and x-rays at world renowned sports hospital, Aspetar, in which specialists confirmed the hamstring injury. The player now complete an intense rehabilitation programme over the next three weeks.

In view of the above, Al Sadd’s Senior Football Team will miss both Khalfan Ibrahim and Hassan Al Haydoos against Al Kharaitiyat, noting that the latter had already undergone minor surgery in Germany and that he is also expected to be sidelined for three weeks.

The first team squad continue their training sessions in preparation for Al Kharaitiyat clash on Wednesday. Al Sadd will be looking to bolster their chances of taking the QSL title this year by keeping the pressure up on league leaders Lekwiya who have a two point lead over them.
