Two teams from the bottom end of the table kicked off round 11 of the Qatar Stars League, Al Khor - the home side welcomed Al Kharaitiyat to the Al Khor stadium.

Al Khor head coach Boloni in his pre-match press conference expressed confidence in his players and said that he felt that the game against Kharaitiyat was winnable. However it was the visitors who went in front.

The game’s opener came through Congolese striker Yves Diba Ilunga in the first half when he smashed home on the 21st minutes.

The home side tried to recover and mounted a concerted effort but to no avail as the minutes ticked by.

Half time came and went with the Knights looking increasingly likely to equalize, the pressure was starting to tell. Al Khor had the lion’s share of possession and chances.

Then in the 51st minute Qatari defender Serigne Abdou scored to level the game at one apiece.

The match was finely poised going into the last half hour as both sides were of equal quality. However neither team could find a way to dominate the other significantly.

The referee blew the final whistle in a game that left both sides frustrated.

Al Khor move up to 9th whilst Kharaitiyat stay in 11th spot in the Qatar Stars League.
