Al Kharaitiyat are tenth in the table just above the drop zone with twelve points from thirteen games. The Thunders will be looking for their third consecutive win by getting the three points against Al Sadd.
Ahmed Ajlani, the head coach of Kharaitiyat, said that he hoped for a longer break in order to prepare his team as he believes ten days were not enough time to implement changes in the team.
“In the second round, we need to have better results than the first half of the season. We have signed Uzbek player Sinjar and wish him good luck with the team,” added the Tunisian Tactician.
Speaking about Al Sadd, Ajlani said, “The task will not be easy, especially with Al Sadd being one of the strongest teams and favorites to compete for the title. We hope that we can achieve a good start as it will help us with the survival in the league and if we get a draw in this match it will be a good result for us.”
Speaking about his side’s improvement since he took the helm, Ajlani added, “ The last two games in which we have achieved wins and six points gave confidence both for the players or us as tacticians.”
Al Sadd are second in the table with thirty-one points. The wolves will be looking for the three points to close the gap at the top of the table.
Jesualdo Ferreira, the head coach of Al Sadd, spoke about his missing player, “the absence of five players for my team does not mean anything and there will be five more good players who will replace them. There will not be any problem because of their absence.”
Speaking about Al Sadd’s chances to win the league, Ferreira added, “Yes, I have confidence in the team and in the players and our goal is to win the title.”
“The game with Al Kharaitiyat will be difficult, the opposing team had several changes but I do not know anything about the new players. So, it will be a tough game,” added the Portuguese tactician
Speaking at the Press conference on Wednesday, Fereira added, “Our aim like every game will be to get the three points and get back to the top of the table. The missing players will not be an issue for us as we have the quality in our side to overcome this.”
