Al Gharafa go head to head against Al Ahli in round fourteen of the QSL. The match will take place at the Al Gharafa stadium on Wednesday.
 
Al Gharafa are in the top four of the QSL table and have twenty points from thirteen games. The Cheetahs will be hunting for the three points against Al Ahli in order to maintain their AFC Champions league hopes.
 
Pedro Caixinha, the head coach of Al Gharafa, is treating the rest of the games as finals, “We are very proud of the work the players did in the first round but all of it belongs in the past.  Now we have to face the second round and next game is one of the thirteen finals. That’s how we are looking at these games and finals are made to win.”
 
“Al Ahli is a tough team to beat as we saw last season. But we are taking this match as a final for us and we have to overcome them and get the win,” added the Portuguese tactician at the press conference on Tuesday.
 
Speaking about the absence in his team, Caixinha added, “The players that are going to start the game in their positions and we trust them. Viladimir Weiss and Kristian Nemeth are not playing but George and Johnson are coming back after suspension.”
 
Al Ahli are eighth in the table with fourteen points. The Brigadiers will be gunning for the three points to move forward in the standings.


 
Yousef Adam, the head coach of Al Ahli, was full of praise for his former team, “It’s one of the best team’s in the country, Al Gharafa. They have absences but they have good substitutes. we are ready and want to collect points in order to make a good start to the new year.”
 
“We are not in a hurry to sign new players and we have time to decide. As long as our team can attack well and cause problems for the opponent I’m satisfied. The rest depends on the administration if they want to sign new players and the professional player’s performances,” added the Qatari tactician.
 
Speaking about his former team, Adam added, “Gharafa is a very good team with good history. I know them very well as I used to play for them. They can beat any team in the league but if they don’t respect the opponents they will lose. It will be a good game because both teams play good football and it will be a good game for the fans.”
