DOHA: Al Gharafa goalkeeper Ivanildo Rodrigues will be out of action because of an injured shoulder, the Qatar Stars League (QSL) club announced on Wednesday.
Rodrigues will take about three months to recover, the club informed.
Club officials Mahmoud Ghazal, Saad Satam Al-Shammari, Fahad Ali and Ahmad Faisal visited the player in hospital.
At the start of the 2016-17 season, Rodrigues had moved to Al Gharafa from Lekhwiya who roped in Qassim Burhan in exchange.
Al Gharafa, former champions, will meet Al Ahli on January 4 in round of QSL at Thani Bin Jassim Stadium.
Al Gharaf are in 4th spot in the QSL points race.
